A group of surfers on the Rip Curl team make search expeditions for places to surf. The team was recently in Indonesia and found a fascinating secret surf spot.
What makes this so fascinating is that the place where they found the dreamlike waves are in a Indonesia river in the middle of the jungle. This river is also not made on a coastline or an island shore, which is very rare. The article says it’s because the river gets pounded by a powerful tidal bore. They say tidal bores produce relatively small mushy waves, but this tidal bore produces waves upstream at heights of 8-10 feet. The surfers said these kind of waves are found over coral reefs.
“This was our biggest score in twenty years of exploring,” says Tom Curren, “a former three-time world surfing champion who has been roaming the world’s coastlines scouring for the proverbial perfect wave ever since winning his last world title in 1990.”

“Missouri’s new coach not going over so well” – Allan Lewis
I agree with you, but first I was very shocked when they hired Miami’s head coach Haith. I have not really heard of him and to be honest, he has not done a very good job at Miami. I think they could have gotten someone better for a program like Missouri is. I also have heard people say bad things about Alden, and yes they need to either accept what they got or get rid of who hired him. (Alden)
